Singer KING Saints has just announced her new song Pass that moneyalready pre-saved on digital platforms by Universal Music, go Head of Media. This new work comes in the creative sequence of composing 11 of the 13 tracks Aphroditethe new album by IZA. Furthermore, the artist also collaborated with the singer Cleo in the lane Karma.
Pass that moneyproduced by a renowned team composed of Du Brown, Los Brasileirosknown to have worked with Jão, Anitta, Vitaoamong other artists, e DMXit’s much more than just a song: it’s a mocking cry for the appreciation of artists around the world.
Result of a composition session together with Aphrodite BXD, Lary AND LOH where the artists were able to express their feelings, the song seeks to highlight the hard work of the professionals behind the songs, especially those related to urban music, challenging the marginalization and prejudices they often face.
“We want recognition that our work is genuine, not just a hobby, and requires total commitment, dedicating years and hours to perfecting our craft. Being an artist goes beyond the stage or the camera; it is a global understanding and career constant Unfortunately, this often goes unnoticed by the general public.”explains Holy Kings.
Whoever does it is not always the one who receives the recognition. In this way, contrasting the precepts of meritocracy, the singer demonstrates that success comes to those who do their best to obtain it.
“Talking about this issue, highlighting that commitment does not always translate into a proportional reward, is very important. For artists, especially those from peripheral areas and black communities, the economic return often does not reflect the commitment dedicated, to cause of marginalization
and lack of appreciation. The song therefore underlines that, in practice, the relationship between effort and reward is complex and not always fair. It is a call for recognition of the hard work and fair appreciation of artists.”He adds.
To complete the message, the clip Pass that money abuses elements of pop culture, incorporating a personal touch. In the video, KING brings a comedic touch and invests in debauchery by playing a mad scientist, taking the discussion of equality to the extreme to exemplify some everyday cases.
“The clip really illustrates the message of the song, so I’m in some kind of scientist, like KING lab, very strange space, where I’m copying money, laundering money, making people pay, They’re filming me and I’m going crazy in that scenario, where there’s this Robin Hood-like energy, of taking money from one place and investing the money elsewhere, you know? So the clip carries that air, telling this story in a very tongue-in-cheek and fun way, which I think is the visual language to which I really like to get closer to, but bringing a bit of this criticism, always in a more relaxed way”ends.
