Ms. Marvel Comics Easter Egg Iman Vellani tried to include and will try again in the second season

There is a new heroine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and her name is Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel! The young crime fighter made her debut on her self-titled show (available to stream with a Disney + subscription ), OR was critically acclaimed and fans so far. Something that apparently draws Kamala to viewers is her love of superheroes, a level of fandom matched only by the actress who plays her, Iman Vellani. The rising star has been a fan of Marvel comics for years and has no problem digging into the small and intricate details. This was made clear when she revealed that she tried to add a sweet Easter egg to the show, and now she is looking to squeeze it into a potential second season.

In the comics, Kamala Khan has a plethora of allies, from the witty Spider-Man Miles Morales to the grizzled. Wolverine (a team moment that Iman Vellani loves) . However, one of his more “extravagant” superpower friends is the inhuman protector Lockjaw. Unsurprisingly, Vellani is more than aware of Khan’s relationship with the giant teleportation dog and when Gossipify met her in the Mrs. Wonder first, he revealed his efforts to reference him on the show:

I’m so glad you mentioned Lockjaw. I tried to get a Lockjaw Easter egg and it didn’t work. But the second season, if there is a second season … Or The Marvels? I would like. I have to make it happen. I love Lockjaw.

The canine protector of the Inhuman Royal Family took it upon herself to watch over Kamala shortly after her superhuman abilities emerged. The two would become close enough, with the dog helping her too when she confronted the evil inventor. It was definitely a sweet relationship to watch, and it’s easy to see why Iman Vellani loves the character and would like to say hello to her.

If the adorable beast were to appear in future MCU productions in the future, it wouldn’t be the first time he has moved into the realm of live-action. He previously appeared in the short-lived Marvel TV series. inhuman series, which aired in 2017. Despite the shortcomings of the show, first look at the trismus it was impressive and suggested an accurate depiction of him in a comic. Before Mrs. Wonderprior to, it was rumored that he would appear on the show (a development that correct a big mistake .) But given these comments from the main star, it looks like we can now debunk this theory.

However, I would still argue that there is a strong possibility that the character will reappear at some point. Last month, Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness dropped the black Anson Mount bolt onto the actual MCU. It wasn’t the same version of the hero that appeared on the small screen, but it’s still an indicator that Marvel Studios hasn’t completely abandoned the classic race of cosmic characters.

Hopefully, Lockjaw will come back and ally with Kamala Khan. The on-screen dynamic between the two would be magnificent, and they could easily solidify as one of the funniest duets in the cinematic universe. I don’t know about all of you, but I really hope Iman Vellani gets at least his Easter egg and this second season.

Mrs. Wonder releases new episodes on Thursdays (as part of the TV program 2022 ), and you can stream inhuman also on Disney +. Also make sure you stay tuned for updates Marvel TV shows coming soon .
