Machine Gun Kelly started the tour Mainstream Sellout last Thursday, the 8th, in an unconventional way. The singer started the show inside a pink helicopter.
Videos shared on social media show a huge pink helicopter with black stripes floating above the arena and carrying the singer on a rope ladder. The tour’s inaugural show took place at the Moody Center Arena in Austin, Texas.
But appearances are deceiving: The aircraft is part of the tour’s scenery and is suspended by steel cables, which makes a very interesting visual impact for the audience.
MGK has an extensive schedule of concerts to start promoting his latest album, Mainstream Selloutwhich was launched worldwide at Galeria do Rock, in São Paulo, on March 25th – hours before closing the first day of Lollapalooza Brazil 2022.

After performing at Onix Day, an event that precedes the Lollapalooza Brazil, Machine Gun Kelly took the Budweiser stage for another light show and lots of pop punk pyrotechnics.

The setlist followed with “Kiss Kiss” and presented the disc Mainstream Sellout(2022), released this Friday, March 25th. In addition, the musician performed a cover of “Misery Business,” of Paramore, in homage to “the legends of the genre,” as he put it.
With a massive stage presence and diverse interactions with the audience — which range from a “I don’t care if you don’t like me” to smoking weed on stage — Gun Kelly ended the night with hits like “My Ex’s Best Friend” and “emo girl,” partnership with Willow.
