During an interview with Voguein which she answered 73 questions, the actress was asked which song she likes most from the Coldplay. The answer was “Life Is for Living,” present in the tracklist of Parachutes (2000), debut album by the English alternative rock band. In the conversation, Paltrow He even sang a part of the track, but admitted that he doesn’t remember exactly what the lyrics are: “But life is for living, we all know / And I ain’t gonna [live] it alone.”

The year he separated from Martinthe actress gave an interview to SiriusXM and explained how, despite “Life Is for Living” being the favorite, she came to find a certain comfort in “Everything’s Not Lost,” also from Parachutes.

“He wrote this song before I knew him, and I think another reason it’s sad for me is that my father had just died when this album came out, and we used to listen to it on repeat,” he said.

This album kind of helped my brother and I get over that death.
