On the first night of the Celebration tour, Madonna pleased the 20,000 ardent fans in London with her setlist
After being hospitalized and needing to postpone the premiere of The Celebration Tour, Madonna returned to the stage to celebrate a discography spanning four decades of success, in addition to the title of Queen of Pop. The start of the tour was at The O2 Arenain London, England, on the night of last Saturday, the 14th.
Until reaching this moment, the legendary pop diva went through several problems. The series of shows would begin in North America in early 2023, but the schedule needed to be rethought after the singer had a serious health problem and was admitted to the Intensive care unit (ICU) due to a bacterial infection.
In a show full of surprises, the presentation was divided into seven blocks, which included the participation of the singer’s daughters, as well as covers, tributes and even samples of “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)”from the BeyonceIt is “Unholy”of Sam Smith It is Kim Petras. Another highlight was the moment in which Madonna sings “Like A Virgin,” interspersed with a remix of “Billie Jean,” in Michael Jacksonand images of the two filled the screen.
