Keith Richards believes that, with technology, posthumous Rolling Stones concerts could happen
Keith Richards confessed that a show by Rolling Stones made by artificial intelligence, with holograms, would not impress him. “Well, I certainly wouldn’t rule it out. I’m sure it will happen,” he said in an interview with Matt Wilkinsonon Apple Music 1 (via NME).
“Do I want that to happen? That’s another story,” added the guitarist. “But I don’t know if I want to be here for that long, man. At the same time, it won’t be up to me, right?”
This is not the first time the matter has been addressed by the band. In September, Mick Jagger spoke about technology in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, while discussing the success of ABBA Voyagea show that features virtual avatars of the Swedish group’s members looking as they did in 1979.
“You can have a posthumous business now, right? You can have a posthumous tour,” he said. Jagger. “Technology has evolved a lot since the ABBAwhich I should have gone, but missed.”
