Eduardo Costa could receive R$1 million from the Rouanet Law, after calling him ‘mamata’; understand

Sertanejo presented a project to record a DVD to pay homage to various regions of Minas Gerais; The financing can be carried out until December

Compatriot Eduardo Costa was authorized to raise almost R$ 1 million, through the Rouanet law, to record a DVD. The information was released by Metropolis and confirmed by Estadao, through the transparency portal. A repentant voter of former president Jair Bolsonaro (see below), the musician has already declared that the law served “bad” artists and journalists, who wanted to “suck the breasts” of the federal government.

“Anyone who wants to make money now, go get a job. Go pull a lot of grass, hit a slab, look for something to do. The bullshit, the meanness is over. No more money from Lei Rouanet. These artists, actors, group of bastard journalists who want to breastfeed the government’s breasts, the suckling, the wickedness is over,” he said during the campaign for then candidate Jair Bolsonaro, according to information from The globe.

Titled Eduardo Costa – The instrumentalist and the fashion of the viola from Minasthe project was proposed by the company Barbecue, Beer and Guitar – CCV Eventos LTDAwhose owner is a partner of the musician, and intends to record a DVD with country songs “in homage to the traditional country music of the various regions of Minas Gerais”.

Among the justifications presented, the project highlights that “the caipira is often mocked and made invisible by the people of the city. Through country music, it acquires a public voice and is able to show and affirm its identity, even in the media.” With this, the work intends to “provide the general public with free access to a product that will provide valuable information on a traditional musical segment that has thousands of fans, but, in many cases, is limited to rural and distant purple environments”.

For the DVD recording, the proposed fundraising amount was R$996,529.64. The request was accepted by the Ministry of Culture and Eduardo Costa has until December to raise the funds, through the Rouanet Law.

Eduardo Costa regrets supporting Jair Bolsonaro: “I was an asshole”

In March this year, Eduardo Costa said in a YouTube interview with journalist André Piunti that he regretted declaring his support for then-president Jair Bolsonaro.

The fellow countryman said he was “a bit of an asshole” and that people hated him. “If I could go back, I would never talk about it. What nonsense to get involved in this thing. I don’t regret anything, but I regret politics. I lacked respect for people, I wanted people to have the same point of view as a political and a party,” he said.

One reason for the regret was that Eduardo Costar did not see the changes he believed would occur under Bolsonaro’s management. “I wanted a change, which wasn’t the case for others. Then you discover that everything is the same.”
