The festival runs from 12pm to 11pm at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek

Get ready for an exuberant celebration when the vibrant culture of Brazil comes to Florida’s most iconic and traditional community festival: the 12th Annual Florida Brazilian Festival, taking place October 28, 2023, 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek . The twelfth edition will have as its theme the protection of the environment and the homage to the indigenous nations of Brazil with the aim of raising awareness especially regarding the Amazon Forest and the preservation of our roots with support for the indigenous tribes of Brazil and a focus on clean and sustainable energy.

History and numbers:

In these years, in addition to culture, the Brazilian Festival has employed Brazilian residents and local residents, filling more than 700 part-time direct vacancies in 12 years, investing an average of U$250,000.00 (two hundred and fifty thousand dollars) in the Brazilian community. through contractual services from minority suppliers, vendors, contractors, media, workers, producers, artists, musicians, etc.

The Brazilian Festival has generated, in 12 years, U$ 1,000,000.00 (one million dollars) in gross revenues for food vendors, annually maintains the services of 63 (sixty-three) local suppliers, contractors and vendors belonging to minorities.

Since 2012, the Brazilian Festival has helped over 2100 (two thousand one hundred) local minority-owned small businesses with growth, sales, brand exposure and networking.

The event conceived by Luciano Sameli, president of the NGO The Heartbeat Foundation Corp, already enters the annual calendar of events in the state of Florida, attracting an increasingly larger audience, on a journey full of music, sport, dance, gastronomy and a true kaleidoscope of Brazilian traditions.

It’s an incredible journey through the art, culture and tradition of Brazil, featuring international artists, samba dancers, children’s toys, 100 exhibitors and a taste of Brazilian cuisine presented by Broward food vendors, providing a dream day at the “Terra do Sabor” from Brazil.“ , continuing to grow and evolve, leaving an unforgettable and inspiring mark on local music and culture.”

In addition to Fernanda Abreu, Falamansa and Caju pra Baixo, the Festival will pay homage, among other things, to Rita Lee.

FALAMANSA, the iconic Brazilian band celebrates its 25th anniversary with the original lineup. FALAMANSA played a key role in reviving and rejuvenating the “forró” genre, bringing it back to the music scene across Brazil. In each project they convey messages of joy, faith, motivation, love and resilience, embracing social and environmental awareness as pillars of their artistic vision. CAJU PRA BAIXO is the latest samba and pagoda sensation in Brazil’s bustling metropolises. FERNANDA ABREU – Fernanda Abreu began her musical career in 1982 as the lead singer of the band Blitz, the most successful national pop-rock group of the 80s. In 1990 she debuted her solo career, releasing the precursor pop album “SLA Radical Dance Disco Club”. ”, with references to samba, sambalanço, disco music, hip hop, funk and soul.
