Bassist Sam Rivers died this Saturday, the 18th, at the age of 48. He was one of the founders of the band Limp Bizkit. The cause of death was not revealed.

The information was confirmed on Limp Bizkit’s social media. In the post paying tribute to the bassist, the band members highlighted that Bizkit was “a unique human being and “a true legend of legends”.

“From the first note we played together, Sam brought a light and rhythm that could never be replaced. His talent was natural, his presence unforgettable, his heart enormous,” the band members wrote.

Sam Rivers had already left Limp Bizkit and was dealing with liver problems.

In the month of August, Limp Bizkit have announced a unique show in Sao Paulo. The presentation is scheduled for December 20, at Allianz Parque.
