The duo sang “A Paz” and “Além do Horizonte” during a show of the “Tempo Rei” tour at Allianz Parque
Gilberto Gil received Roberto Carlos on the stage of his show held this Saturday 18th at Allianz Parque, in Sao Paulo. They repeated last year’s partnership, in the same location, during the recording of Roberto’s special for Globo, singing Peace. All in white, the young star also showed up Beyond the horizon.
“Dear Roberto, you came, eh!”, exclaimed Gil. “Boy, I couldn’t miss it, right? [Risos] I couldn’t stop coming. Thank you, Gil, for this wonderful invitation. Being here with you, in this incredible moment. For me it is a privilege”, replied the colleague.
Roberto Carlos also highlighted Gil’s “wonderful audience” and “incredible band”. Rarely in his career, he sang without his band and without maestro Eduardo Lages, who usually accompanies him.

Homage to Preta Gil
At a certain point in the show Gilberto also remembered his daughter Preta Gil, who died last July.
“Saudosa Pretinha…”, he said, in front of an audience that started shouting “Preta! Preta! Preta!”. “Bravo!”, Gil reacted. Then he reflected on death: “This is a question that has not yet been resolved by humanity.”
