The band’s news for November doesn’t end with Occasionally, as the British group will also release expanded and updated editions of two of the band’s albums. Known respectively as the “red” and “blue” albums, The Beatles 1962-1966 AND The Beatles 1967-1970 they will get around 10 new remixed tracks each.

The story of Occasionally
In the 1970s, John Lennon recorded a demo version of Occasionally in the Dakota Building, where he lived New York. In 1994, Yoko Onothe artist’s wife, gave Paul, Ringo and George the recording and other demos of Free as a bird AND True love.
The group attempted to finish the song upon the project’s release. The Beatles anthology, but the technological limitations of the time prevented John’s voice from being separated from a piano sound present in the song. For this reason the band abandoned the song.
Recent releases of content about the band: the documentary The Beatles: Going Back and a remix of Wheel – demonstrated that it was now possible to separate musicians’ voices from instruments or ambient sound when filming. In 2022, Paul and Ringo gave it another chance Occasionally.
In addition to John’s vocals, the track features George playing guitar in 1995. The remaining members made new recordings, including a new Harrison-inspired solo and backing vocals. The two commented on the emotion they felt working on the track.
“John’s voice was there, crystal clear. It’s quite moving. And we all played it, it’s a real Beatles song,” Paul said in a statement. “It was the closest thing to having him back in the room, so it was very emotional for all of us. It was like John was there,” Ringo added.
