Carlinhos Brown, Fafá de Belém and the American Christina Aguilera are also among the artists who have forgotten the words of the anthems
Sing the National anthem It is not an easy task and many artists have already made a mistake by presenting the song at an event. This is what happened with Ludmilla at the Brazilian Formula 1 GP last Sunday, 5.
The singer had the responsibility, together with the child musician Miguel Vicente, of cavaquinho, to sing the anthem before the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, but something was not right at the beginning of the song.
After the introduction played by the boy, Ludmilla begins the first verse, but her voice disappears in the second. Then the lyrics return, cut off in the middle of the word “resonant”, and then disappear again for a few more verses, until finally returning to “we managed to win with a strong arm”. See the presentation above.
Ludmilla, also criticized by Luana Piovani, published a video of the presentation on Instagram stories and justified the “mistake” by stating that there was a fault in the audio system. But she’s not the only one who had problems during the anthem. She recalls other cases:
Vanusa
Singer Vanusawho died in 2020, was invited to sing the national anthem at the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo (Alesp) in 2009, but ended up getting the lyrics wrong in the second part of the presentation.
Years later, the artist said she became confused because of a medicine for labyrinthitis she had taken that day. She remembers what she was like:
Fafa de Belém
Fafa de Belém he also forgot part of the lyrics of the national anthem, but during a presentation at an event in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, in 2009. He said at the time that he did not want to “provide details” at the moment. I wait:
Carlinhos Brown
Carlinhos Brown got confused while presenting the national anthem during the Brazil Day event, in New York, USA, in 2014. He asked the audience to complete the verses and even made the audience laugh.
Christina Aguilera
The American singer Christina Aguilera was responsible for singing the US anthem at the opening of the Super Bowl, the NFL championship game, in 2011, but she also confused the song’s lyrics and received confused looks from audiences and athletes.
