“They inhabited a place that, in my mind, was unattainable,” he said of the Seattle group. “I didn’t know if I would ever see them in concert,” he added. After interactions on the band’s social networks with him and his brother, Chico Bernardesthe vocalist Robin Pecknold has invited Tim to sing Portuguese verse on the track “Going-to-the-Sun Road.”

In other important moments for his career that took place between the two albums, the singer recalled how partnerships with Manu Gavassi, Gal Costa and Maria Bethania made him reflect on space in the new MPB: “It’s a huge honor, because it says something about me being a singer and songwriter who, perhaps, can also inhabit the terrain of MPB in a broader way. The suit in a much more rock and indie aspect, but linked to Tropicalismo.”

In contrast to Restartmarked by the creative concept between sound and lyrics, A Thousand Invisible Things it’s less tied around a unique theme. “I wanted to make a more eclectic record, a collection of songs. In the end, I discovered that the songs had a subject, it’s about inner, deeper reflections, about existence and the almost supernatural reality. But it has a little bit of everything, songs of love, more passionate, calm and a few heartaches,” he explained.
