Seven of the eight nominees in the Album of the Year category are female artists
Those nominated for Grammys 2024 were announced this Friday, 10. In one of the main categories — Album of the Year —, only Jon Batista prevents a woman’s 100% chance of winning the award (seven of the eight nominees are female artists).
In the 2022 edition, competition was practically balanced, with four male and five female artists nominated, in addition to the partnership between Tony Bennett It is Lady Gaga. The picture was not much different in 2023: three men nominated, five women and two groups — ABBA It is Coldplay.
