This afternoon (16th) the 23rd edition of the Latin Grammy Awards took place, the biggest prize in Latin music. The grand winners were announced at a ceremony held in Congress and exhibition centre (FIBES), in SevilleTO Spain and singer and composer Eli Soares, one of the greatest exponents of Christian music, won the award Best Christian Album (in Portuguese) with the disc Wepublished in May 2023.
The project, which featured special appearances by Tom Carfi, Mauro Henrique, Anderson Freire AND Paul Caesar Barukbrought in total with 14 acoustic songsa format in which the singer has conquered his audience during his over 12 year career.
Nominated for the sixth consecutive time, the artist received the same award last year.
Soares, who was not at the event, celebrated the Latin Grammy win alongside his wife, Késia Soares, and expressed emotion on his Instagram Stories as he watched the awards ceremony live from his home in Brazil.
“Guys, I confess that I am here without strength because ‘We’ won the award for best Christian album (in Portuguese). The feeling is indescribable! I still can’t believe it…”, celebrated the artist.
