Rio de Janeiro rapper launches the album Lume today, featuring Anitta and MC Poze

Filipe Retrapper from Rio de Janeiro, released this Thursday, 16, the album fire (2022). It is the sixth work of the singer that completes 10 years of career. With eleven tracks, ret brings the participation of Anita,MC Poze do Rodo, MC Maneirinho between others.

The artist came up with rhymes, but says he sees trap as an “evolution of rap.” The album was produced on the road while touring the United States. ret says that he felt more creative freedom when composing the new album, mainly because of the musical genre.

“Trap allowed me a lot more freedom. I see a lot less ‘guardinha’ of trap, as there is in rap. imagine the McPoze Or the anita singing rap? They would be much more criticized. Trap belongs to no one, it is more anarchic.”

The carioca finds himself in love with the genre and chose fire as the album title. no wonder, ret is concerned with bringing artists who are at the beginning of their careers but also brings great feats and knew how to take advantage of their artistic freedom.

Of the 11 songs, seven have guest appearances. Among some of the names, ret mentions Kayuá and Gaius Luccas. Both are part of the music label of ret. The singer emphasizes the importance of putting them in evidence.

fire it has a philosophical meaning, it’s a matter of being explicit as if I’m throwing light on something that should be seen. It’s trap coming with everything and funk mixing. We’re at the height of our culture because of trap and it was amazing to work with other artists on the album. Put the Kayuáwhich is starting and also bring funk names like anita it’s the MC Poze.”

The carioca is the first national rap artist to launch an Enhanced Album on Spotify, which offers an immersion in the album with exclusive videos, comments and curiosities about the tracks. In Brazil, only Luisa Sonza had that opportunity.
