Singer Roberto Carlos released this Thursday (11/23) the song “Eu Ofereço Flores”, his first new recording in more than a decade – since “Esse Cara Sou Eu” and “A Mulher que Eu Amo”, from 2012 .
Composed by the singer himself, the song evokes his fans in gratitude for their support over the decades. “And looking at you/I see these smiles/That decorate my life/With joy and colors/With all my heart/For all this then/I offer flowers,” the lyrics say.
With a slow tempo and orchestral arrangement, the song was performed for the first time in a show celebrating Roberto’s 82nd birthday, on April 19 this year, in Cachoeiro do Itapemirim, in Espírito Santo, his hometown of the singer. But only now has it obtained official registration.
Roberto is expected to sing “Eu Ofereço Flores” during the taping of his year-end TV Globo special, which will take place on November 29 in a concert hall in Rio de Janeiro.
