We all work together to create the right atmosphere. One practical thing, for example, we did was that at the beginning of the process, all naked, [director Sophie Hyde], Daryl and I are getting used to being in a room with no clothes on. And it was a very useful thing to do, very moving and interesting. Plus it’s out of the way and you made sure you don’t have to worry. But what we did was get to the set first, before any crew, before a camera, before the sound and we stripped and shot the set, making it our own, so that the team would come to our space. It was our space and our atmosphere.
Staying naked in front of the camera seems like a tall order, but it depends on how a set handles these scenes to distinguish between a positive experience and a harmful experience. When it comes to being inside big lion set, Emma Thompson also recalled her previous relationships showing skin on set:
That wasn’t what sometimes happens with nudity and intimacy scenes, where the actors show up, all tied up in a dress, and I did, and the whole crew is there. And then someone says, ‘Okay, take off your bathrobe! Take off your bathrobe! And you think, ‘Oh my God, it’s okay.’ [Fakes panting]. But it didn’t happen that way. Everything was ready, then the team arrived in our space and it worked very well.

There is something very powerful about this day where we explore all the intimate scenes of the film and get naked together. It really created a safety net for all of us and when we got to those last moments of the film I really felt like rehearsal day was really with us in the room and it was an amazing experience doing it with your partners. . Creative.We truly felt it was ours to explore and enjoy.
