Paul McCartney performed at the Clube do Choro, in Brasilia, this Tuesday 28th, and revived the intimate atmosphere of the times of The Cave Clubpub where Beatles they played in the early ’60s, when they were starting their career. The traditional space in the country’s capital can only accommodate around 420 people and the use of cell phones is prohibited. Among the audience were names such as Samuel Rosa, João Barone and Criolo, who mixed and interacted with the audience to the sound of the British band’s successes.
The repertoire began with A night of a hard day and other Beatles hits. Next, Paul went through songs from his solo career and concluded the performance with other songs from the group, such as Hey Jude, let it be and Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da.
Paul voted for Encore twice and sang three songs on it Abbey Road: The End, Golden Slumbers and Carry that Weight. Leaving the show, João Baroni, drummer of Paralamas, told the news Estadao who was excited for Thursday’s show: “See you Thursday.”
