Paul McCartney turned 80 this Saturday, the 18th, and received tributes from several musicians, such as Sean Lennon and Elvis Costello.
Sean Ono Lennon honored the legendary bassist of the Beatles, Paul McCartneywho turns 80 this Saturday, the 18th. In a video published on social networks, the son of Joh Lennon and Yoko Ono played ‘Here, There and Everywhere,’ the quartet’s song.
In the intimate cover, recorded with his own cell phone, Sean only used an accompaniment guitar. “A little bird told me that this is one of his favorite tracks from Beatles. So happy birthday! Thanks for the beautiful songs. You have the respect and love of the entire world,” she wrote.
“This version is a little raw because it’s such a beautiful song. I got choked up a few times and started over,” he explained of the recording.
Also in honor of Paul, Elvis Costello published a cover of the same track on his YouTube channel.
