Brazilian artists shined internationally, according to the Spotify Retrospective 2023 (Wrapped in English). The DJ Alok is the most listened to Brazilian artist abroad in 2023. Anitawhich occupied the first position in the ranking in the Spotify 2022 Retrospective, is in second place.
When we talk about musical genre, Brazilian phonk was the most exported, followed by other subgenres of funk, such as MTG funk, RJ funk and Rio funk. Another proof that funk has already conquered the world is its presence in the ranking of tracks with national artists most listened to abroad.
