‘Music of the Spheres Tour’ puts Coldplay together with the likes of Elton John, Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones, who have already managed to reach this milestone
the disco tour A Music of the Spheres(2021), from Coldplayreached $1 billion in revenue, as reported to Billboard Boxscore. So far the band has performed 23 shows in North America, Europe and Latin America.
THE Music of the Spheres Tourstarted with 11 shows in Costa Rica and grossed $5.7 million from March 18-19, then made $19.5 million over four nights in Mexico City. Then, after 13 shows in the US, it hit $1.17 billion.
The band is the 11th to reach the milestone, alongside Elton John, Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones. the previous tour A Head Full of Dreams(2016) earned $523 million from 121 shows around the world.
The tour marks the return of Coldplay to the stages after the covid-19 pandemic, which may justify the high demand for tickets. The album was released in 2021 and features guest appearances by Selena Gomez, Jacob Collier and BTS.
O Coldplay continues with shows scheduled around the world. In Brazil, announced eight dates. starting with Rock in Rioon September 10th and in São Paulo on October 15th to 22nd.
