Eminem admits to ‘stealing black music’ compared to Elvis

In music from the soundtrack of the Elvis biopic, Eminem compared himself to the singer

Eminem released “The King And I” as part of the film’s soundtrack Elvis – biopic of the singer – last Thursday, 16th. The track has the participation of CeeLo Green and brings verses about the rapper’s career.

In addition to comparing with Presley – “I’m about to explain the parallels between me and Elvis,” says in one of the verses – Eminem admits to stealing part of black music by choosing to rap, indicating a similar attitude of the American rock icon.

“It seems obvious: um, he’s pale like me / We were both hailed as kings / He used to rock the jailhouseI used to shake The Shelter [casa de shows],” compares during the song.

The biopic follows the rise of Elvis Presley to fame and the singer’s complex relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parkerwho discovered it in 1955. The film features Austin Butler in the role of the King of Rock and Tom Hanks as Parker.
