Presentations, which began in March 2023 and should end in December 2024, have already raised around R$5.16 billion to date

Reaffirming the exceptional year in the music industry, Taylor Swift established herself as the artist responsible for the most profitable tour in history with The Eras Tourbecoming the first to exceed US$1 billion (around R$5.16 billion) in revenue in history, according to the statement from Guinness World Recordspublished this Tuesday (12).

The presentations, which began in March 2023 and are scheduled to end in December 2024, have raised US$1.04 billion to date, as calculated by Pollstar, which also used data from the ledger.

The project projected an average of approximately 72 thousand people attending each show and tickets costing an average of US$238 (around R$1,180). Thus, the The Eras Tour is expected to gross more than $17 million per show.

Another source of income that exceeded expectations was Taylor Swift’s licensed products, with profit estimates hovering around R$200 million (around R$992) so far.

The amount broke the record planned for the five-year farewell tour of Elton Johnwhich ended at the beginning of this year, grossing US$939 million (about R$4.56 billion) in 328 shows.

The sixth tour of Swift is in fact so popular that it grossed more than this year’s next two highest-grossing tours (Beyonce It is Bruce Springsteen) together.
