Nicholas Hoult protagonist of the new Rolling Stones video

The Rolling Stones have released the video for “Mess It Up,” which features actor Nicholas Hoult (“X-Men: Dark Phoenix”).

The video is a surreal story, which begins with an argument between the actor and his girlfriend. Warmed up, he goes out for a walk, crosses roads, forests, cities and already bearded arrives at the sea, where he collapses and begins to realize what he has abandoned. Repentant, he decides to go back. But the house is different. The one who opens the door is a boy. The woman reacts with fear to the intrusion. Years have passed and he no longer belongs in the house he abandoned. Now considered an invader, he is knocked out by the current husband of his ex-girlfriend.

This is the second time the Stones have used a famous actor in the videos for their new album. In September, Sydney Sweeney (“Euphoria”) starred in the video for “Angry.”

The two songs are part of the album “Hackney Diamonds”, released on October 20, which marks the return to action of one of the most influential bands in the history of rock. It’s worth mentioning that the Stones hadn’t recorded new songs since 2005’s “A Bigger Bang.”
