WIU releases special Christmas EP: ‘Someone needed to save Christmas’

Surprisingly, WIU made A Little Christmas Album available on music streaming platforms; there are four tracks in total

To close the work of 2023, WIU released, by surprise, a special Christmas EP, titled A Little Christmas Albumon the night of this Saturday, 23rd. It is worth remembering how, this year, the singer from Ceará was the only Brazilian rapper to have three songs in the Top 5 of the Spotify Brazil.

From now on, the EP, from the label 30PRAUM, is available on the main music streaming platforms. The work has four tracks in total (“I Smoked the Christmas Tree,” “Single Christmas,” “Don’t Call Me 00:00” It is “Jingle Bell Hype”), with a mix of some musical genres.

Closing range A Little Christmas AlbumJingle Bell Hype” had a preview released in December 2020, when WIU it only had two official releases. In a statement to Rolling Stone Brazilhe gave some details about the new project:

I didn’t feel the magic of Christmas this year, I didn’t smell Christmas, someone needed to save Christmas, and it needed to be me. Christmas really marked my childhood and it’s a part of the year that makes me very happy, I want people to get into the spirit with me. These are Christmas songs to listen to while getting ready for dinner.
