Xuxa Meneghel is back on the big screen after a 14-year absence, and the news is pure joy for fans! The presenter stars in the film “A Fairy Came to Visit Me“, inspired by the book of Thalita Rebouças. However, returning to the world of acting was not an easy path for Xuxa, who, despite accepting the role out of her admiration for the story, did not hide her insecurities as an actress. “I don’t know how to memorize, I’m not an actress,” she confessed at a press event.

To overcome these challenges, Xuxa had the warm support of the cast and the author herself Thalita Rebouças. “She would tell me, ‘You’re going to kill it. How would you say or do that?’” she recalled Xuxa. Furthermore, due to the difficulty in memorizing the lines, the presenter even requested the use of a teleprompter. “Even if I didn’t look, I wanted to know it was there,” she explained.

Thalita Rebouças and the producer Patricia Chamon praised the contribution of Xuxa for the character Armadillo. In fact, a character that carries several references from the 1980s, when the presenter shone brightly. “In addition to being an actress, she is an actress who respects the text”, he praised Thalita. Patricia Chamon added: “Xuxa is the actress Xuxa. No one is equal to anyone. She has the tone. Armadillo’s tone is the tone that the Xuxa he has”.

The last time Xuxa participated in a film was in “Xuxa and Leprechauns 2: In the Way of Fairies”, released in 2002. So now, she’s back, bringing her magic to the big screen.
