Ted Nugent compared Taylor Swift songs to songs made for cartoons and was very critical of modern music
Responsible for songs like “Stranglehold,” “Cat Scratch Fever,” “Free-for-All” It is “Fred Bear,” Ted Nugent harshly criticized the work of Taylor Swiftone of the most successful and popular singers today, who visited Brazil in November 2023.
With a career that began in the 1960s and was the target of controversy for political comments, Nugent was interviewed on The Joe Pags Show. At one point, the artist was asked about his opinion on modern music.
“So I’m afraid to say that in this world this has gone down the drain in every aspect, I’m afraid of the success of Taylor Swiftand God bless her work ethic, God bless her musical dreams, but this is cartoon music,” he opined (via Blabbermouth).
“I mean, there’s no piss and vinegar. There’s no fire, there’s no sensuality in it. To me, it’s all pop nonsense, and it’s the most popular thing in the world, which is an affront to the music industry and music fans ,” continued Ted Nugent.
They don’t look for that fire of a ZZTopon one Mitch Ryder It is Detroit Wheelsfrom a station Brownsville or from a Amboy Dukes [a banda do próprio Nugent dos anos 1960]. And I miss that. Thank God I’m still around. We still deliver the same fire as the Beatles made [nos clubes] in Germany.
It is worth remembering that this was not the first time Nugent spoke badly of Taylor Swift. In June 2023, he appeared in an episode of The Nightly Nuge and cited the reasons for not liking the work of the “Cruel Summer,” “Anti-Hero,” “Lover” It is “cardigan.”
“It seems like if I came across a children’s cartoon on a Saturday morning, I would probably hear the No. 1 country song or the No. 1 pop song,” he said (via NME). “Because everything is formulated to give a certain vocal delivery, chord change and a certain tempo that they examine so closely that it’s not organic, instinctive, sexy, loose, genuine and believable.
