Businessman Pedro Domingos do Prado was found dead in the hotel where he lived in Curitiba
Pedro Domingos do PradoO Pedrinhowhich inspired the hit “Wake up, Pedrinho”of Young Dionysus, died at age 65. Owner of a bar that members of the band from Curitiba frequented, the businessman was found alive in the hotel room where he lived, in the center of the capital of Paraná.
Domingos do Prado gained celebrity after the hit inspired by him went viral in 2022. “Acorda, Pedrinho” even gained versions in French and Japanese and was responsible for catapulting Jovem Dionísio’s reach, taking the band to the first position of the most listened to songs from Spotify Brazil.

“With immense sadness in our hearts today we say goodbye to our great friend Pedrinho.
The biggest reason we love Dionisio’s bar so much is because of the friendships we made there. We gained many friends of all kinds. each person with their own particularities and unique stories. but always with one thing in common: affection. Pedrinho was certainly the channel of all the affection that the bar offers. Anyone who stepped inside and talked to him a little knows that. The various stories we’ve heard (and those we haven’t heard yet) confirm how much he will be missed by all of us. Today, Dionisio’s bar, the young Dionisio, Juvevila and everyone who was lucky enough to come across him one day mourns the loss of such an irreplaceable person. we will never forget how important he was. Thank you, Pedrinho ❤️ we will sing his name with all the affection you gave us. One day we’ll meet up to finish that pool game.”
Pedro’s burial will take place at 4pm this Tuesday (26), at Pinhais Ceremonial Complexin Paraná.
