Dua Lipa released ‘Houdini’, a single from a possible new album, last month
“Houdini” may have reached second place on the UK Singles Chart, but it wasn’t the track that Dua Lipa planned to launch last month. According to the The Suna source revealed that the English singer even recorded the music video for another single in September, but its release was canceled due to the war between Israel and Gaza, which started in October this year.
“At its core, the music video was playful, but contained chaotic themes — including car crashes, demolitions, explosions, fireworks and fighting crowds,” the source confirmed. “Dua and her team decided it would be insensitive if the video was released, given what has been happening since October 7th.”

Still in October, Dua Lipa took a stance on the conflict in the Middle East and wrote on Instagram:
With each passing day, my heart aches for the people of Israel and Palestine. I mourn the losses in the horrific attacks in Israel. I mourn what I have witnessed of the unprecedented suffering in Gaza, where 2.2 million souls, half of them children, face unimaginable hardship. For now, I hope there is a ceasefire in Gaza and that governments stop the unfolding crisis. Our hope is to find empathy to recognize this dire humanitarian situation.
