Taylor Swift dominated 2023 from start to finish. In the last hit parade of the year, published by Billboard magazine this Saturday (30/12), the singer appears with six albums in the Top 10, as well as occupying the first four positions in the list of the most played and sold albums of the week. This has never happened before with any other artist.
1st place went to the re-recording of “1989” (2023), a new version of the 2014 album, followed by “Midnights” (2022), “Lover” (2019) and the re-recording of “Speak Now” (2023), whose original version dates back to 2010. The list also includes “Folklore” (2020) in 6th place (just below “Guts”, by Olivia Rodrigo) and the re-recording of “Fearless” (2021 ), original from 2008, in 10.
The result reflects the shopping activity before Christmas Day and the success of the shows of “The Eras Tour”, in which the artist revisited his complete repertoire. The tour was also made into a film in 2023, which grossed $250 million worldwide, making it the most successful documentary of all time.
