The daughter of Mingau, the bassist of Ultraje a Rigor, who was shot in the head in September, took to social media this Saturday (30/12) to vent about the musician’s health. In a story posted on Instagram, Isabella Aglio wrote: “It hurts so much, dad. I still can’t settle… I don’t think I ever will. I can only hold on to the hope that your life will be put back together.”
The text was posted alongside an old photo of her father hugging her. “I miss you so much… I can’t wait to hear you call me ‘fióte’ and hug me,” she added.
What happened
The bassist was shot in the head in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, on September 3, when his car was surrounded by criminals who fired several shots. A bullet passed through his skull and he had to undergo two surgeries, leaving him with the consequences.
Mingau’s daughter celebrates each stage of her recovery on social media. In November she was able to move a finger. On the day that marked three months since the accident, she posted a video of him kissing her cheek: “Thank you, my lord! Exactly three months ago, I experienced the worst day of my entire life and, today, I receive the best gift of all.”
The family launched a fundraising campaign to help him with his treatment and he recently received a wheelchair. However, he will need another surgery in 2024.
