So, in a video on social media, he spoke out and explained all the details that made him step away from the stage to take care of his health at this time.
It is worth highlighting that Nathan has been undergoing antibiotic treatment to treat an infection caused by H-Pylori. The bacteria can result in inflammation of the gastric mucosa and, if not treated optimally, can turn into stomach cancer. Despite being well, the artist has been suffering from the loss of his voice in the last three months due to all the treatment.
“I arrived with a perfectly good voice, but 30 minutes into the show my voice completely disappeared. I couldn’t sing. It is very painful for a singer to want to sing, to express himself on stage in such a happy moment and not be able to sing. I left one show very sad and couldn’t do the other one. [que seria em Arcanjos (AL)]. I left without a voice“, reported Nathan in the video to announce the career break.
“This is the time to stop, take care of myself, join the people who are following me to see what treatment I should undergo. I want to return to you safely. I never lowered my head or let an opportunity pass through my hands without taking it. But I’m going to take care of myself and come back 100%“, promised the Brazilian artist.
NATTAN SHINED IN COPACABANA!
In the last show before the career break, Nathan commanded the turn of the year on the beach of Copacabanaat the Rio de Janeiro. Even though he wasn’t in full condition to go on stage, he made an effort and managed to shine during the hour-long show. However, the artist revealed that he lost his voice again shortly after the performance.
“I asked God and managed to do an hour show. When I stepped outside my voice went completely hoarse. My dream is to take my music, my culture, my Northeast abroad and this was a great opportunity. I couldn’t stop trying“, he said.
