The singer from Ceará Nathanof successes like There’s a cabaret tonight AND I love the bomb announced Monday night, 1st, a career break. Nattan, 24, was diagnosed with the bacteria H.pylori three months ago – is commonly found in the stomach and affects approximately half of the world’s population.
According to Nattanzinho, as he is also known, the medicines given to him by doctors damaged his vocal cords. “I started this very intensive treatment with very strong antibiotics. This caused severe edema of my vocal cords,” he explained in a video posted on his social media.
Nattan also reported what was happening in his presentations. “I came in with my voice perfectly fine. 20, 30 minutes into the show, my voice completely disappeared, out of nowhere. I couldn’t go back,” he said. “We were a little scared because we didn’t know what was causing this.”
The singer said he was very shaken by the shows he had to stop or cancel recently. “It’s very painful for a singer who wants to sing on stage, express himself. I left very sad,” he said.
On December 31st the singer performed in Copacabana for New Year’s Eve, but did a shorter show, also due to the problems they are facing. “I arrived in Rio de Janeiro, and in the third song of the show, my voice got lower. I looked up, asked God, and, thank God, I was able to perform for an hour. When I got off the stage, my voice became completely hoarse again.”
Nattan said in the video that he will stay for a while to undergo treatment. “This is the time to stop, to take care of myself, to get together with the people who follow me to really see what treatment to do. I want to reciprocate you 100%”, he said, without setting any date for his return to the scene .
