Ms. Marvel co-directors are gearing up for future Marvel gigs and are sounding great

Marvel Studios’ Mrs. Wonder it works so well for a variety of reasons. The critically acclaimed superhero show has a strong edge over the up-and-coming actor. (and super comic fan) Iman Vellani , and the writing is flawless. However, you should also encourage talented directors, including the formidable duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. The two (who also serve as executive producers on the series) have already made a leap into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and are ready for more. They’ve also added a few more gigs to the huge franchise and they sound great!

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who rose to prominence thanks to their work in bad guys for lifedirected the pilot and the season finale of Mrs. Wonder. Watching the first episode, it’s obvious that the two are comic book fans, especially when it comes to their handling of the thrilling AvengerCon series. When I spoke to the couple during the Disney + show press trip, I asked if they’d already set their sights on other MCU properties now that their work with Kamala Khan is done (for now). It didn’t take long to name their favorites, and El Arbi mentioned some pretty famous mutants:

We’d love to do something with the X-Men, you know, that would be great, just to build more on that. But there are so many that we need to explore. We need to open our booklet.

It’s no secret that Marvel Studios are looking for introduce the X-Men to the MCU at some point in the future. A reboot seems years away at this point, but it wouldn’t hurt studio head Kevin Feige and his company. to see some potential candidates now. The bad guys the directors would be solid choices for the project and could bring some much-needed freshness to the old Fox franchise. However, there is another project that they are really passionate about and that may also be more suitable for them. The two went on to say:

Adil El Arbi: Yup [Spider-Man] Miles Morales would be fine too.

Billal Fallah: Yes, the live action Miles Morales, yes.

2018 Spider-Man: In the Spider’s Verse It’s probably a picture-perfect film, although many would like to see Miles Morales (its protagonist) take on the live action through the MCU. Time many admired Morales I’m just as concerned, if not more, about who would direct such a production. And I strongly believe that Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah could create something truly epic. Not only are they passionate about the character, but they could also provide a unique visual style similar to what they developed for Mrs. Wonder. In fact, El Arbi explained that they approached this art style as a kind of “proof” for a Spidey movie starring Miles:

You know, Into the Spider-Verse, that aspect of animation that inspired us so much. And we want to make a live-action version of it, because it wasn’t in the [Ms. Marvel] the scripts, you know, and the concept that we had that dream sequence and that animation sequence is something we put into the show, so this is our little test for [a live-action Spider-Man movie].

Well, I’d say it works because a number of reviewers and fans have taken note of the vibrant graphics as they praise the series. Given what they’ve accomplished so far, I wouldn’t be surprised if Marvel recruited Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah for another production. And if that happens, they will have a lot of experience behind them, thanks to Mrs. Wonder and the next bad girl movies they are making. We hope you have the opportunity to do more in the MCU!

Mrs. Wonder release new episodes (opens in a new tab) on Thursdays as part of the 2022 TV schedule and is available to stream with a Disney + subscription.
