In an interview on the “Smartless” podcast, the former Disney star revealed that she wants to end her musical career to dedicate herself entirely to acting. Selena, who began to gain fame in the “Wizards of Waverly Place” series, confessed that she still has “one more album to make”, but that, after this one, she intends to choose acting as her main focus.
She said she was tired of balancing multiple careers, a reality that led her to reflect on the future of her artistic path. “I’m tired,” Gomez commented, reflecting on the pressure of staying active on multiple fronts, saying she’s happy to “find a niche in the industry where I can fit in a little better.”
Despite releasing his first solo album in 2013, he has only recorded two more albums since then. Her latest album, “Rare,” came out in 2020. Additionally, she hasn’t toured since 2016’s “Revival Tour,” which was cut short midway due to mental health issues stemming from her lupus diagnosis .
