Ed Sheeran doesn’t hide his elation at winning his first Emmy

Last Saturday (6), British star Ed Sheeran won the award Outstanding original music and texts to the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards from the song Beautiful game.

The song, presented at the end of Ted Lassowas composed of Sheeran and his coauthors Massimo Martino AND Foy Vance.

Ed Sheeran He did not attend the awards ceremony, but left a message on his official Instagram account, with images that immortalize the moment he is working on the song in the studio.

“I didn’t expect to win, it was a real surprise to wake up to the news, I wish I could have been there but I’m about to start the Asian tour so unfortunately I had to be somewhere else,” subtitled Sheeran. “We were all fans of the show and were asked to do a song for the finale, so 2 years ago this month we got together and wrote a song about love and football, and how it’s increasingly about the journey what a destination… I recorded a crowd at one of my stadium shows singing the final chorus to keep it in the football (vibes).”

This was the first indication of Ed Sheeran to the Emmy and concluded the message Instagram with thanks: “I’m truly honored. I love you all! And Happy New Year, see you on the road.”
