Preta Gil was released this Friday 19th, the first song that marks his return to music after his cancer treatment. Return to the sun is the first track from his new self-titled EP.
The artist announced the EP this Wednesday, 17, seven years after his last album, All the colors. In the composition of his new song, Preta talks about changing things.
“You are not alone, throw away the sadness (…) the smile he has is back in the sun.” On her social media, the singer celebrated her return after her battle with cancer and her ex-husband’s betrayal.
“I have returned to the sun. After a battle, I am here to sing for you with this song that I composed with my beloved friends, Pablo Bispo and Ruxell. The song is about rebirth, about us having empathy for each other. more, of being able to be free, be what we want and enjoy life,” he said.
“We are not alone, we must support each other and live! ‘Back to the Sun’ is beautiful, sunny and celebrates life,” he concluded. The EP will contain three songs which will be released next Friday.
