Cake mixed with syrup: the perfect combination of flavours

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/3 cups milk (tea).
  • 3 eggs
  • 5 tablespoons of margarine
  • 3 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • 4 tablespoons of chocolate powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • Margarine and wheat flour for greasing

Syrup

  • 1/2 cup milk (tea).
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of chocolate powder

Preparation method:

  1. Blend the milk, eggs, margarine and sugar in a blender until smooth.
  2. Transfer to a bowl, add the flour and yeast and mix with a spoon.
  3. Divide the dough into two parts: mix the chocolate powder in one and mix the vanilla essence in the other.
  4. Pour the mixture by spoonfuls, alternating the colours, into a greased and floured baking tray with a hole in the centre, 22 cm in diameter, and bake in a medium preheated oven for 30 minutes or until firm and golden. Remove from the oven, let cool and unmold.
  5. Bring all the syrup ingredients to medium heat, stirring until dissolved. Turn off, spread on the cake and serve.
