The musician is one of the composers of the song which, for the remake, was re-recorded by Luedji Luna and Xênia França
“Aiá Aiá Cariá/Ilê Iê Ilá Aiá”. For those who followed the first version of Rebornaired in 1993, the song’s chorus Sovereign Moon is inseparable from the novel created by Benedict Ruy Barbosa. She acted in several blocked scenes and passages.
For the remake which premiered last Monday, the 22nd, the song composed by Ivan Lins and Vitor Martins got a promotion: he is now opening the telenovela which has an adaptation written by Bruno Luperi. The recording, which in the past was made by Sérgio Mendes and his group, was made by the singers Xênia França AND Luedji Luna.
On Tuesday 23rd, Ivan Lins took to Instagram to tell a bit of the story of Sovereign Moon and stated that he really liked the new recording. “Luedji and Xênia completed the mission perfectly. I liked it a lot. They are capricious,” he says.
Ivan said he still sings the Sovereign Moon in their shows and I would like to sing it together with the new artists.
“I would love, one day, to call one of them (or both) to sing Lua Soberana, complete, with me,” he wrote. “It would be just beautiful!”
Xênia soon responded to Ivan’s invitation: “Don’t play with my feelings. I love you!”
It’s worth mentioning that in the 1993 version the opening song of Renascer was also by Ivan. called Borders, a partnership between him and Aldir Blanc. It was Ivan himself who sang it, in a recording with the Batacotô group.
