‘Everything I Thought It Was’ will be the singer’s first work since 2018, when he stepped away from his music career
Justin Timberlake announces his new album ‘Everything I Thought It Was‘ and romantic single ‘Selfish‘. The productions mark the return of the singer’s career, who has been away from the musical world since 2018. The project features songs written by Timberlake and partnerships with composers who worked alongside great artists such as Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 and Harry Styles.
The full album is scheduled for release on March 15, 2024 and has a countdown on Spotify, in addition, it is now available for pre-save.
‘Selfish‘ features lyrics: “So if I get jealous, I can’t help it / I want every little piece of you, I guess I’m selfish / It’s bad for my mental, but I can’t fight it, when / You’re looking but You can’t hide it, no” says the song.
The Selfish video was directed by Bradley Calderand shows Timberlake entering through a small door onto a stage, on which he appears as a giant struggling to answer a red telephone on the wall.
Justin recently made his live debut on ‘Selfish‘ at his January 19 show at the Orpheum Theater in his hometown of Memphis. After the show, the singer released the trailer for his new music video on his Instagram profile.
