Two of the greatest artists of Manchester come together to launch an iconic project. Liam Gallagher and Giovanni Scudiero announce a new collaborative album with the release of the new single Mars in Liverpoolnow available on digital platforms via Warner Music this Friday (26th).
The album, which contains only the names of the artists in the title, Liam Gallagher/John Squirearrival on the market is scheduled for 1st March.
Mars in Liverpool is the second track on the album and follows the release of Just another rainbowthe duo’s debut single, which reached 16th place in the charts UK and jumped to number one in the sales and download charts, becoming the biggest debut for a Liam song in the last 15 years.
In addition to confirming the album and new single, the two artists also announced their first tour together UKwhich too shall pass Ireland, France, Germany, Italy AND WE.
“I can’t wait for people to hear the album. I think Stone Roses and Oasis fans will love it. It’s spiritual, it’s crucial,” He said Liam Gallagher. Already John declared: “I was really inspired by the recent shows at Knebworth when I started writing. And then it was about trying to move away from being a bit too rocky, and at the same time also trying to elicit feelings. And I like how it sounds in some parts, it’s a little melancholic and also makes me feel good, some parts are disrespectful, rude or crude. There’s a little bit of everything there and I think it’s a great mix. I imagined this union would be good, but not he was prepared for how perfect the fit was.”
