Pericles says that doing carnival is challenging: “I’m not good”

The Sao Paulo native revealed his plans for Carnival, as well as saying he has no choice in the musical genres explored this time of year:

One of the biggest names in Brazilian music, Pericles revealed that it ‘does not serve’ the musical genres most explored during the carnival. Modesto, the singer, one of the greatest icons of the pagoda, spoke with journalists this Sunday, 28, before performing at Salvador summer festival.

“There are people who do it [carnaval] much better than me, I’m not good”, commented the singer. Despite this, Péricles continues to plan to participate in the celebrations.

The pagodeiro intends to make another edition of its block ‘Pericão Folia’, in São Paulo, in the pre-Canarval period. Another wish is to bring the blockade to more locations in the country: “It’s a celebration that we want to bring to other places in Brazil,” she explained.

The artist also wanted to talk about his relationship with Bahia, a state that makes him ‘feel at home’. “Being here in Bahia is always a reward for me, I feel at home”, he reflected.

Speaking of Bahia, Péricles also highlighted his friendship with the singer Xanddy HarmoniTHE. “This friendship has lasted a long time, I have known Xanddy for at least 25 years, but lately we have allowed ourselves to strengthen our bonds. I feel immense happiness every time I am with him and other friends from Bahia, concluded the artist.
