No one disputes that Taylor Swift is one of the biggest pop stars in the world today, with her “Eras” tour capable of raising a staggering $1 billion, which is more than the GDP of some countries.

However, by 2009, Taylor was opening for established stars such as country star Keith Urban. That year, during the “Escape Together World Tour”, Taylor and Keith’s bands pulled pranks on each other at some shows. And in one of these there was the historic moment in which she went on stage dressed as Ace Frehley, of Kiss.

It was August 8, 2009, in Kansas City, the night Keith Urban mixed his hits with classics by Bo Diddley (“Who Do You Love?”) and Journey (“Open Arms”). During the song “Kiss a Girl”, a huge hit for Keith, Taylor and his band invaded the stage dressed as Kiss.

And it was a very “professional” prank, since they were wearing Kiss makeup and clothes. Taylor was dressed like Ace Frehley from Kiss’ classic “Love Gun” phase. They even imitated Kiss’ choreography on stage.

Taylor Swift and Def Leppard

But Taylor Swift has other faces in rock’n’roll. In 2008, she appeared on the TV show “Crossroads” alongside Def Leppard’s Joe Elliot, and they performed no fewer than 11 songs together, including classics from Elliot’s group such as “Photograph,” “Hysteria” and “Pour Some Sugar On Me “. , among others.

“People looked at us like we had three heads when we announced we were doing this TV show with Taylor Swift,” Joe Elliott told Classic Rock magazine at the time. “We saw it as an opportunity to do something different. And it was phenomenal fun.”
