Critically acclaimed K-Pop icons TWICE are back with their first release of 2024, I got you, via JYP Entertainment/Imperial/Republic Records, on all digital and streaming platforms. The new single precedes the release of the highly anticipated thirteenth mini album Wit is TU-thscheduled for February 23rd.
I got you is the group’s third English single, following the enormous successes of its predecessors The feelings – Twice’s first career entry into the Billboard Hot 100 chart, at #83, earning him his first gold certification in the United States (given by the Recording Industry Association of America, the RIAA) – and Sunrise in the moonlightwhich reached #84 on the Billboard Hot 100 and gave the group the best placings of their career on the Billboard Hot 100, #3 on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart, as well as good positions on the Spotify charts in the United States ( 39 °) and global (60°).
The release of this single follows the announcement of a special performance of TWICE’s fifth world tour, READY TO BE, in the United States: READY TO BE ONCE MORE will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 16.
2024 is already shaping up to be a pivotal year for TWICE. They continue to break barriers and establish themselves at the top of their game; Last year was no different. TWICE kicked off 2023 by receiving the Breakthrough Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards and releasing their twelfth mini-album, READY TO BE. The mini-album was hailed by Rolling Stone as “as brash and addictive as the best of today’s pop music scene” and entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 on Billboard sales, the group’s third No. 1 on that chart.
They also embarked on the North American leg of their fifth READY TO BE world tour, playing 13 shows at stadiums and arenas across the country, starting with an extra performance at the sold-out SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. This tour made TWICE the first K-pop girl group to perform to sold-out venues at MetLife and SoFi stadiums, and the first girl group to perform at SoFi.
It is worth mentioning that the group will play its first show in Brazil, at Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo this Tuesday (6) and Wednesday (7).
