“We emphasize that the research does not include all the festivals that take place in Brazil, since the database used was only that of the festivals registered in the Mapa dos Festivals”, explains the analysis — which was curated by the portal team and producers of events.

Events that take place regularly (with the exception of those that held the first edition), whose central element is music, and which have more than three musical attractions were considered festivals.

The northeast is close behind, with 58, followed by the south (40) and the Midwest (20). In the north, only 9 music festivals were registered: Psych (SHOVEL), If Tear (SHOVEL), I’m Manaus (AM), Casarão Festival (RO), Amazon GreenJazz Festival (AM), FestivalSound (SHOVEL), Lambateria Festival (SHOVEL), Standing Amazon Festival (PA) and Bem Ali Festival (TO).
