Ludmilla brought forward the end of the traditional “Fervo da Lud” lockdown due to the intense heat that hit Rio de Janeiro this Tuesday morning (13/2). About 30 partygoers fell ill during the festivities and were treated at the medical center closest to the event; four of them were children.
The parade started around 9 am and was supposed to end at 12 pm, but ended about 45 minutes earlier than expected. The artist complained about the incident in her Instagram Stories, where she stated that the decision was made “with a lot of pain in my heart”.
“I cried, did you see? It was with a lot of pain in my heart that I ended the trio early, because the sun was very strong, guys. There were a lot of people who felt bad, they were hot, so I had to finish it early” , he said in a video. “You know I’m passionate, but for everyone’s safety and integrity, I had to get this over with first.”
It wasn’t for lack of water!
Ludmilla interrupted the presentation several times to ask the water truck operators to water the public and asked for the distribution of mineral water before closing the block. The singer hinted that the event will take place by the end of next year. “We don’t control the climate. My priority is your integrity. It can’t continue like this,” he told her.
High temperature
According to Alerta Rio, from the Municipality Operations Center, the thermometers recorded 36ºC with a final sensation of 43ºC at the time of the lockdown. Maximum temperatures reached 42ºC in some regions of the capital Rio de Janeiro.
