Last Friday (9), the show of Gusttavo Lima in Campo Alegre de Lourdes, Bahia, but the Public Prosecutor requested the cancellation of the presentation.
The court granted the request and concluded that the singer’s compensation, R$1.3 million, was more than the budget of the city’s Secretary of Culture.
Business owners in the region report financial losses due to the cancellation. “I made the investment to open during the celebrations. My expenses amount to around R$ 200 thousand, because there was the investment in the installation, custom-made furniture and merchandise”, said Joel Pereira de Sá, UOL Splash.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that the singer has had problems with performances contracted by municipalities.
In 2022, several municipalities were investigated by the Public Prosecutor for promoting shows with well-paid artists. At the time Gusttavo Lima was the most mentioned in the verified contracts.
