The influencer and model Talita Rocco spoke on Wednesday 14th about the moments of tension she experienced in a United States airport. Rocco, wife of Leandro Barbosa, known as Leandrinho, former NBA and Brazilian national basketball player, tells how she prevented her youngest daughter from being kidnapped by two men.

In a post on her Instagram, the model said that the incident occurred on February 8, but that she only now felt comfortable talking about it. The kidnapping attempt took place at the airport in Sacramento, California, from where Rocco, his brother and two daughters were traveling to Orlando.

Before going up the family decided to have a snack in a bar. The model’s brother went to the candy machine with the model’s eldest daughter, who was at the table with her youngest, 2-year-old Julia. The child then wanted to accompany her sister. Since her place was small, her mother allowed her to go alone while she watched.

While the little girl was walking, two men appeared behind the model and approached her daughter, who found the situation strange. “As a mother I thought, ‘My God, this isn’t right.’ I don’t like judging anyone.”

“I got up and followed her. Then, they were very close, they bent down to pick up Julia. I was so nervous, I put their stroller in front, grabbed her and ran away,” the model said. Rocco says that, after the scene, the men looked at each other and turned away, as if nothing had happened.

With her two daughters on her lap and her brother at her side, the model tried to get on the plane and says she ‘collapsed’ crying thinking about what could have happened. She also left a warning for her followers. “Here in the United States they don’t ask for documents, you can travel with children anywhere, so be very careful,” she concluded.
