Vasco suffers from refereeing and draws against Fluminense

Sada Cruzeiro beats Ciudad Voley and is South American champion
Justifying their reputation as the best women’s volleyball teams, Mines It is Beach Club put on a show in the final South American. Thus, in a duel that was a rollercoaster of emotions, Minas defeated its rival by three sets to two, in an upset. This was the sixth consecutive decision between the teams in the competition, with four titles for Minas (2019, 2020, 2022 and now 2024).
In the final last Sunday (18), the Beach Club took control of the match, winning the first two partials by 26/24 and 25/16. However, pressured by not being able to lose any more sets, the Mines managed to balance things and win the next two partials, by 25/19 and 25/22.
In the tie-break, the Mines opened 5-0 and put the team Uberlândia against the ropes. O Beach Club came close (4 to 5), but soon the rival opened a front on the scoreboard again, until closing the set at 15 to 11 and the game in three sets to two, in an attack of Thaisa. The American setter Jenna Grayfrom Minas, ended up being chosen as the best player in the final of the South American.

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL!
O Sada Cruzeiro won the World Cup title for the 10th time in history South American men’s volleyball. The achievement came shortly after the team overcame City Volleyfrom the Argentina, for three sets to zero (partials of 25/16, 25/11 and 25/13). The teams entered the court last Friday night (16), at Galegão Gymin Blumenau. With the trophy, the miners qualified for the Club World Cup.
The team won the competition in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024. The title won in Santa Catarina is the 51st trophy of Sada Cruzeiro since 2010, with a total of 61 finals and 70 tournaments played. Immediately after the match, the coach Filipe Ferraz praised the team’s results in recent seasons of South American volleyball.
